Who we are
The Cyprus Information Center (CIC), the establishment and operation of which was entrusted to the Road Transport Department of the Ministry of Communications and Works of the Republic, was set up in accordance with the 4th Motor Insurance Directive of the E.U and collaborates with all Information Centers of the European Union.
The aim of the CIC is to give information to persons who have a legal right, to obtain such information who are involved in an accident in Cyprus and reside is Cyprus or in a member state of the European Union and to persons involved in a traffic accident in a member state of the European Union and reside in Cyprus. This information concerns the Insurance Company of the vehicle involved and its “representative” in the country of the injured person on the basis of the 4th Motor Insurance Directive, so that the injured party may submit its claim in his country of residence.
